Wheat Exports Australia (WEA) operates under the Wheat Export Marketing Act 2008 and the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA Act).
The Wheat Export Marketing Act 2008 and the Wheat Export Marketing (Repeal and Consequential Amendments) Act 2008 were given Royal Assent by the Governor General on 30 June 2008.
The Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 provides the framework for the proper management of public money and public property by the Commonwealth.
WEA administers the Wheat Export Accreditation Scheme.
All WEA staff are employed under the Public Service Act 1999.
