Suspension of accreditation

WEA can suspend an accreditation under the Bulk Scheme.

WEA cannot suspend an accreditation for longer than three months.

WEA can suspend an accreditation if:

If an accredited exporter provides false of misleading information to WEA in an application for accreditation or renewal, it is a ground on which WEA can cancel the accreditation rather than suspend it.

WEA must consult with an accredited exporter prior to making the decision to suspend an accreditation. This will give the exporter an opportunity to respond to WEA’s concerns.

If WEA makes the decision to suspend an accreditation after consulting with the accredited exporter, it will notify the exporter in writing. The notice will contain details of the suspension, reasons for the suspension, and the period of the suspension including the date it takes effect.
